Discover East is a private day tour in Mahébourg, sold through Viator by an independent local operator. This guide summarises what the operator's listing confirms, so you can judge whether it fits your trip before you check dates.
Experience overview
The operator lists this as a private experience, so your booking is not combined with other travellers. The itinerary names these stops: Mahebourg Museum, Frederik Hendrik Museum & Vieux Grand Port Historic Site, Blue Bay Beach and Blue Bay Marine Park. Viator files it under Short term availability, Private and Luxury and Private Sightseeing Tours. We place it in our Day Tours collection.
Where it starts
Here is how Discover East begins, according to the operator. The operator lists pickup for all travellers. Pickup areas are set by the operator, so confirm that your hotel or address is covered when you book. The listed locations place it on the South-East Coast, near Mahébourg.
How long it lasts
Timing matters when you plan Discover East around other days out. The operator gives a duration of 6 hours to 7 hours, depending on conditions and the option you choose. Road transfers to and from your hotel can add noticeably to the total time away, especially across the island.
What the operator includes
The listing for Discover East does not itemise its inclusions, so confirm what the price covers on the booking page.
Guiding or commentary is listed in Arabic, German, English, Chinese, French and Spanish.

Before you book
A full day on Mauritian roads is tiring in the heat, so take water, sun protection and cash for small purchases. Before you book Discover East, confirm the exact option and start time you are booking, that pickup covers your hotel, what the price includes and the cancellation terms Viator shows for your date.
Current availability
We do not publish prices or availability for Discover East, because both change with the date, the group size and the option chosen. Use the button on this page to see live availability on Viator, which handles the booking and payment; the experience itself is run by the operator. Mauritius Travel Guide does not run tours or take payment.
