Most organised activities on Mauritius revolve around the lagoon and the sea: catamaran cruises, snorkelling and diving, boat trips along the coast and excursions to offshore islands such as Île aux Cerfs and the northern islets. On land, guided walks in the Black River Gorges National Park, island sightseeing tours and visits to Port Louis are the other main categories.
Mauritius Travel Guide does not operate tours. Our tour catalogue will be drawn from supplier data and organised by theme once that data has been reviewed.

Choosing a tour
- Check what is included — transport, meals, equipment and time actually spent at each stop.
- Match the trip to the weather. Boat trips depend on wind and swell; ask what happens if a trip is cancelled.
- Choose responsible operators, especially for dolphin-watching and marine-park trips.
