Corrections Policy

Mauritius Travel Guide aims to be accurate and useful. Practical details such as opening arrangements, access rules, transport and prices change often, so we review our guides and correct them when we find or are told about an error.

How to report an error

Use our contact form. Choose “A correction or update”, include the address of the page and describe what is wrong. If you can, tell us where the correct information is published, for example an official tourism, park or transport source.

What happens next

  • We check the report against an official or other primary source wherever one exists.
  • When the report is confirmed, we correct the page as soon as practical.
  • Significant factual corrections are noted on the page with the date of the change. Minor fixes such as spelling or broken links are made without a note.
  • If we cannot verify a report, we may add a caution asking readers to check current details rather than change the text.

What we do not change

We do not change editorial judgements, rankings or recommendations in return for payment, and we do not remove accurate information because a business would prefer it was not published.

Commercial listings

Accommodation and tour listings are built from details supplied by booking platforms and operators. If a listing is wrong, we correct our page and, where the error comes from the provider, we suggest you also contact the booking provider directly.
